I own Savannah Custom Weddings & Elopements and the Savannah Cozy Chapel and write and perform secular, spiritual and interfaith ceremonies as a professional wedding officiant in Savannah, GA. I also plan intimate elopements and weddings. My team of officiants and I have married over 1,600 couples since 2014. I have been featured on NPR and in other media and won multiple awards for my work.
Before I made a career change, I worked as an independent recruitment, business & career consultant and wrote the bestselling resume book Confessions of a Teacher Recruiter: How to Create an Extraordinary Resume and Hook Your Dream Job.
Through my talent development and coaching work, I assisted 1,000+ individuals in reaching career success through speaking engagements, workshops, and one-on-one and group coaching from 2010-2014. Through my recruitment consulting, I helped clients hire 900+ new team members. I have been featured in the press as a career & recruitment expert 50+ times, including in publications such as Mashable, the NYPost and CBS MoneyWatch.
Before becoming a consultant and certified coach, I spent a decade successfully working in recruitment and education, including serving as the Director of Teacher Recruitment for the New York City Department of Education, one of the largest employers in the United States. I supervised the recruitment, selection and hiring of 5,000+ teachers annually and led my team to a second place victory in the annual Best Employer Brand contest sponsored by ERE, an international recruitment association.
